Denise Johnson is a native of Oklahoma and grew up in Yukon. She has a
Bachelor’s Degree from University of Central Oklahoma. She is currently
the President/CEO of the Independent Insurance Agents of Oklahoma.
Formerly she was Vice President of ECI Agency in Piedmont, OK, a family
agency that just celebrated 50 years in business. Denise has served as
President of the Independent Insurance Agents of Greater Oklahoma City
and also was the 1st woman Chairman on the Executive Board of Directors
for the Independent Insurance Agents of Oklahoma. Prior to being named as
President/CEO of IIAO she was serving as the State Director representing
Oklahoma on the National Board of Directors for IIABA where she also
served on the InVEST committee, a scholarship and classroom to work
program. She has been an advocate in the insurance industry lobbying on a
state and federal level for important issues such as workers compensation
and tort reform. Prior to her insurance career, she was the Executive
Director of Oklahoma’s Jr. Miss for 11 years
Denise is a married to John and has 3 adult daughters – Lauren, who is
married to Trevor Henson and living in Tulsa (2 granddaughters) - Avery
Johnson Moore who is a producer with the family agency ECI Agency and
Mallory Johnson who is a hair stylist in Bethany. Denise has spent the past
25 years volunteering in many venues on a state and community level. She
enjoys reading and helping her husband remodel their 118 year old house.
